About Austin:  2005 Graduate of Lafayette County C-1 High School and is currently a foreman for Ironworkers Local 10- at Latan Power Plant in Weston, MO

Austin got involved with racing through family friends, George and Danny Lasoski.  Lasoski's gave him his first chance to drive a 100cc junior sprint at Sweet Springs Motorplex in 1998.  In 2001, Austin's uncle, Kevin Alumbaugh, bought him a 600cc micro sprint in which Austin eventually won his first race in 2003.  In the winter before the 2005 race season, Danny Lasoski came to Austin and told him that it was
now or never, "It was time to jump to full size sprints".  The 2005 season proved to be the break through year, Austin won his heat and started on the front row of the main event in his first night out.  The main event didn't end as planned, as his motor let go with only 5 laps into the race.  After battling multiple engine failures, Austin won his first 305 feature in his 10th start of the season.  The 2005 racing year ended with Austin finishing 10th in points at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg.  During the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Austin ran an outlaw style schedule competing at tracks in Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa recording several top 5 finishes.  Austin jumped into the 360 sprint ranks in 2008 traveling part-time with the Winged Outlaw Warriors and won his first 360 feature at Springfield Speedway-Springfield, MO in his sixth start.  He also joined with car owners Wahlee and Michael Brown to run the 305 Nationals at Knoxville, IA, where he finished 3rd in his qualifying night feature and 4th in the championship night of competition.  The off-season of 2008 proved to be a struggle, as the family shop burnt to the ground with Austin's cars and Brown's car on the inside.  The fire claimed a total of 3 complete cars and all equipment.  Austin and the BRE Team regrouped starting over buying cars to field the entire 2009 W.O.W. season and selected 305 sprint car events.  A devastating start to
the 2009 season ended with a successful ending.  Alumbaugh Racing
and BRE Team earned Winged Outlaw Warriors Rookie of the Year
and had a 305 feature win at Valley Speedway-Grain Valley, MO.
